It’s A Wrap on the 2025/2026 school year!
As the final session of the 2025/2026 school year wrapped up, the entire team at Legacy Builders is taking a moment to reflect on another incredible season of connecting students with opportunities in the skilled trades. From hands-on learning to honest conversations about career paths, this year was filled with moments that sparked curiosity, confidence, and excitement about the future of construction.
A huge thank you goes out to Angela from Sierra Construction and Tom from J-AAR for volunteering their time during today’s session.
Their willingness to share real-world experiences helped students see firsthand just how many career paths exist within the construction industry. From project coordination and skilled trades to leadership, technology, safety, and operations, the possibilities are far broader than many students realize.
One of the most rewarding parts of Legacy Builders is watching industry professionals inspire the next generation simply by showing up and sharing their stories. Every volunteer brings a different perspective, and those conversations can have a lasting impact on young people who are beginning to think about their future careers.
This year’s sessions across the region reinforced something we already knew — there is tremendous passion within the construction community to invest in youth development and workforce growth. The support from contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, associations, and volunteers continues to make these programs possible.
While today marks the end of this school year’s sessions, planning for next year is already underway. Legacy Builders is excited to continue expanding its reach and creating even more opportunities for students to explore careers in construction throughout the 2026 season.
We invite educators, parents, students, and industry members to follow along as we prepare for another exciting year ahead.
If you are part of the construction industry and want to get involved, we are actively looking for:
Volunteer speakers and mentors
Skilled trades professionals willing to share their experiences
Industry sponsors who want to support youth engagement initiatives
Companies interested in helping shape the future workforce
By working together, we can continue building awareness around the skilled trades and help students discover meaningful, rewarding career paths in construction.
