Building Connections On and Off the Course at the GVCA Golf Tournament
Last week, Legacy Builders was proud to be part of the Grand Valley Construction Association (GVCA) Golf Tournament, sharing a tent alongside one of our Founding Partners, Hewson Brothers Building Supply.
The GVCA Golf Tournament is always one of the highlights of the construction industry's calendar, bringing together contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, service providers, and industry leaders for a day of networking, friendly competition, and community building. This year's event was no exception.
What stood out most was the overwhelming support shown for workforce development across our industry. Everywhere we looked, we saw companies investing their time, resources, and people into strengthening the future of construction. From sponsors supporting the event to volunteers sharing their stories and experiences, it was a powerful reminder that our industry recognizes the importance of inspiring the next generation of skilled trades professionals.
At Legacy Builders, our mission is centered around connecting students with real people working in construction and the skilled trades. Having the opportunity to speak with tournament participants about the impact of our programs and the growing need for industry involvement was both encouraging and energizing. The conversations throughout the day reinforced what we've always known: when industry professionals come together, incredible things happen.
A special thank you goes out to Matt from Future Data Connect for volunteering his day at our booth. Matt spent time sharing his career journey, discussing the opportunities available within the construction and technology sectors, and helping introduce guests to the work Legacy Builders is doing in schools and communities. Between conversations about workforce development and a few golf stories along the way, Matt was a fantastic ambassador for both his company and our industry.
We would also like to thank the GVCA for organizing another outstanding event and to all the sponsors, volunteers, and golfers who stopped by to learn more about Legacy Builders. Your support helps us continue creating meaningful connections between students and the people who build our communities every day.
Events like these remind us that workforce development isn't the responsibility of any one company or organizationβit's a collective effort. Seeing so many businesses step up to support that mission gives us tremendous confidence in the future of our industry.
We look forward to continuing these conversations and working together to inspire the next generation of builders, leaders, and innovators.
